Two post-doc positions at Chalmers University

POLET is recruiting two Post-docs. Come join us! One Post-doc will examine the relationship between the economics and speed of the energy transitions and a second will examine the dynamics of the growth and diffusion of technologies and infrastructures.

In the first post-doc project, we’ll explore how the economics of energy technologies shape the unfolding energy transition and what is the role of the cost of technologies, policies and other factors in shaping the profitability of renewable technologies? Read more about that position and apply here.

In the second post-doc project, we’ll explore what is the potential for new and emerging technologies and infrastructures such as negative emissions technologies and hydrogen to contribute to to the energy transition through examining historical analogues. Read more about that position and apply here.

Both researchers will be part of the ERC project MANIFEST in the POLET research group at Chalmers University. The project focuses on cross-national differences in feasibility of energy transitions as well as on its temporal dimension and therefore involves comparative and longitudinal analysis. They also contribute to the MISTRA Electrification which works on understanding the non-technical feasibility constraints to rapid electrification and decarbonization in Northern Europe.

Selection is ongoing and we will begin reviewing applications on August 29th, 2022.
